Terms of Service for AttendiBot, operated by SartoLabs LLC.

Effective date: July 2, 2026. This Terms of Service applies to AttendiBot when operated by SartoLabs LLC on our hosted infrastructure.

See also our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SartoLabs LLC("SartoLabs," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of AttendiBotand related websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service — including adding the AttendiBot Discord bot to a server, signing in to the admin dashboard, or using public verification tools — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if:

  • You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by Discord in your jurisdiction)
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
  • You comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
  • Your use of the Service is not prohibited by applicable law

3. Description of the Service

AttendiBot provides Discord voice channel attendance tracking with optional Ed25519 cryptographic signing of session records, period-based leaderboards, a web-based admin dashboard, public session verification, data exports, Discord log destinations, and outbound webhooks (subject to subscription tier).

The Service tracks voice channel presence metadata only. It does not record, store, or process voice audio or message content.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.

4. Accounts and access

Access to the admin dashboard requires authentication through Discord OAuth. Only users with Manage Server or Administrator permission on a Discord server may configure AttendiBot for that server.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account and for all activity that occurs under your credentials. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or revoke dashboard access if we reasonably believe your account has been compromised or is being used in violation of these Terms.

5. Subscription tiers and fees

AttendiBot offers Free, Pro, and Enterprise subscription tiers with different feature availability. Feature details are described on our pricing page and documentation.

As of the effective date of these Terms, SartoLabs LLC does not process automated online payments through the Service. Pro and Enterprise tiers may be activated manually or by separate agreement. Enterprise pricing is available upon request.

We reserve the right to introduce paid billing, modify pricing, or change tier features with reasonable advance notice. If we add payment processing, additional payment terms will apply and will be presented before you are charged.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, surveil, or track individuals without appropriate notice where required by law
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with signing, verification, authentication, or access controls
  • Abuse, exceed rate limits of, or violate Discord's Terms of Service, Developer Policy, or API guidelines
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties without authorization
  • Upload malware, perform denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation
  • Misrepresent signed attendance records as legal proof or regulatory compliance without appropriate context

We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.

7. Server Administrator obligations

If you are a Server Administrator, you additionally agree to:

  • Have authority to add bots and configure settings for the Discord servers you manage
  • Inform server members that voice channel presence may be tracked, where required by applicable privacy or employment laws
  • Be solely responsible for outbound webhooks, log destinations, and data exports you configure, including compliance with third-party privacy obligations
  • Maintain secure storage of signing key passphrases and webhook secrets
  • Use attendance data fairly and in accordance with your server's rules and applicable law

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including all software, code, documentation, branding, logos, and content provided by SartoLabs LLC, is owned by SartoLabs LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.

You retain ownership of your Discord account data and server content. By using the Service, you grant SartoLabs LLC a license to process your data as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Open-source components of AttendiBot may be subject to separate license terms as indicated in our repository.

9. Third-party services

The Service integrates with Discord and may integrate with other third-party services you or a Server Administrator configure (such as webhook endpoints). SartoLabs LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's Terms of Service (discord.com/terms) and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their data practices.

10. Cryptographic signatures

AttendiBot may generate Ed25519 cryptographic signatures over voice session records and period archives. These signatures are intended as technical audit aids to help detect tampering with attendance records.

Signed records do not constitute legal proof, regulatory compliance, employment verification, or contractual evidence. You are solely responsible for determining whether attendance data is appropriate for your use case and for complying with any legal or contractual requirements in your jurisdiction.

11. Public verification

The Service provides public endpoints to verify the cryptographic validity of session records using session identifiers. Anyone with a valid session UUID or guild/period reference may perform verification. Do not share session identifiers if you wish to limit who can verify a record.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the AttendiBot bot from your Discord server and ceasing use of the dashboard.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, immediately and without prior notice if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law. We may also discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

Data retention after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of data associated with your server by contacting [email protected].

14. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR RELIABILITY.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ATTENDANCE RECORDS WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties. In those jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SARTOLABS LLC, ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO SARTOLABS LLC FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100 USD).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited. If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SartoLabs LLCand its members, managers, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
  • Your violation of Discord's terms or policies
  • Outbound webhooks, log destinations, or data exports you configure as a Server Administrator
  • Any dispute between you and your server members regarding attendance tracking

17. Dispute resolution

17.1 Informal resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.

17.2 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

17.3 Binding arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Sheridan County, Wyoming, or remotely by mutual agreement. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in Sheridan County, Wyoming, if the claim qualifies.

17.4 Class action waiver

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND SARTOLABS LLC AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable, the arbitration agreement shall be void as to that claim.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence may give you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, and nothing in this section limits those non-waivable rights.

18. General provisions

  • Entire agreement — These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SartoLabs LLC regarding the Service.
  • Severability — If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
  • No waiver — Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
  • Assignment — You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Force majeure — We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including Discord outages, internet failures, or natural disasters.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice through our website or support channels where practicable. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
